Program Description

As Lean Six Sigma is growing in prominence as a celebrated method towards achieving quality and customer satisfaction. The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is designed to shape top tier Lean Six Sigma leaders who will act as the core of every Lean Six Sigma implementation and are the real change agents in a Lean Six Sigma initiatives.

The program follows the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) model and teaches the soft skills required to effectively lead projects. As a black belt, you will be the one continually working toward institutionalizing the effective use of Lean Six Sigma tools throughout your organization.

You will learn how to:

  • Apply statistical methods for business process improvement using Minitab software.
  • Select and coordinate successful Lean Six Sigma projects and project teams.

    • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum grade of “good” or a minimum grade point average of 2.3 is required.
    • For applicants who graduated from university with an overall grade of "pass," two years of professional work experience is required.
    • A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate or achieving a minimum of 70 percent in the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt assessment exam from the Executive Education of the School of Business at AUC is required.
