With a focus on business-centric topics, the series gives the stage to renowned international and local thought leaders to share a wealth of technical knowledge, business acumen and market and/or scholarly expertise with the AUC community and the local business community at large.

Seeking to promote knowledge sharing within our own community, this series focuses on hosting internal seminars for faculty members, graduate students and temporary research assistants. During seminars, instructors are invited to share and present research papers to enlighten audiences with new knowledge all while improving their work through constructive feedback.

Built on the principle of promoting strategic planning, this series aims at providing a platform for discussion between economists and policymakers in a transitioning Egypt. 

The Department of Economics at the American University in Cairo launched the Economics Research Seminar Series (ERSS) in fall 2018. The ERSS is a forum for presenting and discussing scientific economics research work in progress with relevance to the Arab region.
