Program Description

With the increasing sophistication in different areas of finance as well as the emergence of mega projects in the Egyptian market, credit and risk professionals need to constantly hone their skills and acquire up-to-date knowledge.

This program will help you acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain high-quality loans as well as develop credit rationale consistent with the banking strategy.

This program is divided into two parts: a professional certificate and a professional diploma.

    • Introduction to Accounting
      Understand and read financial statements as an introduction to financial analysis for performance measurement and investment analysis purposes.
       
    • Economics and Industry Analysis
      Identify the economic and industrial aspects that affect the performance of the firm under analysis.
       
    • Financial Statement and Ratio Analysis
      Analyze financial ratios and perform cross-sectional, trend and time-series analyses.
       
    • Lending Rationales
      Get introduced to the fundamentals of banking credit management and assessment of the feasibility of making successful loans.
       
    • Cash Flow Mechanics and Projections
      Get equipped with advanced tools in project evaluation and cash flow analysis.
       
    • Trade Finance
      Learn about different financial tools and how to assess risks (for all involved parties) present in trade finance tools and to propose the best business solutions.

  • *Upon successful completion of the Professional Certificate, participants can earn the Diploma by completing the following courses.

    • Project Finance and Syndication
      Gain a new understanding of how to approach, manage, arrange and negotiate a successful project finance package from inception to realization.
       
    • Risk Management
      Get introduced to various risk management concepts, tools and techniques in a global context under the umbrella of Basel II.
       
    • Financing and Evaluating SMEʼS
      Get introduced to the main concepts related to small and medium-sized enterprises (SME’s) and their distinctive nature and learn how to tailor banking services to meet their needs.
    • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum grade of “good” or a minimum grade point average of 2.3 is required.
    • For applicants who graduated from university with an overall grade of “pass,” two years of professionalwork experience is required.
    • Applicants should pass the Standard English Proficiency Test (SEPT).
    • AUC graduates and ExecEd alumni are exempted from the SEPT.
    • Applicants are required to pass the Accounting Placement Exam with a minimum score of 70 percent.
