AUC Business (Virtual) Forum - 2022

For the third year, the AUC School of Business organized a high-level forum during the period of March 14 - 17, 2022. The forum included five roundtable discussions where renowned and distinguished scholars and practitioners from business and industry as well as policymakers from Egypt, Africa and other parts of the world discussed timely and relevant issues.

Held virtually, each roundtable tackled different issues relevant to doing business in Egypt and Africa. Topics included: investing in tech startups, the future of corporate learning and development, the role of business schools in facilitating a just climate transition for Africa, and the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration in fueling inclusive, sustainable development.

The event also witnessed the launch of the UN Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) Chapter Africa as well as the Egypt Impact Lab powered by the Egyptian Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab Middle East and North Africa at the American University in Cairo (J-PAL MENA at AUC), with roundtable discussions introducing both initiatives.

The objective of each roundtable was to come up with directions, ideas, and recommendations that could represent the basis for a white paper or an action plan that could lead to a prospect for some research work, academic or executive education program(s), or a joint initiative or project between participants of the roundtable and their respective organizations.
