BEDMLab Facilities

Facilities

BEDMLab has three laboratories: Lab I, Lab II, and Lab III. Lab I is a stationary lab that has 30 computer terminals and is located on the premises of the BEDMLab, room 2150 of Abdul Latif Jameel Hall at the AUC New Cairo campus, AUC avenue.

Lab II is a mobile lab with 15 touchscreen laptops that can be used off-campus to run field or lab-in-the-field experiments.

Both labs can be combined to run a large session of around 45 participants. Lab I has mobile partitions that can be adjusted according to treatment or can be removed for teaching (using classroom experiments) or training. It also has a monitoring room for experimenters and for paying participants.

Lab III is the online lab. COVID-19 may impose some restrictions on the physical presence of participants on the BEDMLab premises at AUC New Cairo campus. Therefore, we have been working relentlessly to revamp the operations of BEDMLab, which is now ready to conduct experiments online. Lab III allows researchers and participants from all over the world to conduct experiments and interact with their peers in Egypt.
