Bachelor of Accounting (BAC) Receives Endorsement from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA)

The Bachelor of Accounting (BAC) of the AUC School of Business has received an endorsement from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

IMA is the worldwide association of accountants and financial professionals working in business. The institute has over more than 80,000 members and aims at supporting accounting professionals to expand their professional skills, better manage their organizations, and enhance their career.

IMA’s Higher Education Endorsement Program recognizes business curricula that meet the quality educational standards required to enable students to prepare for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA). The School of Business is among a distinguished group of only 33 higher education institutes worldwide to receive this prestigious endorsement.

The Bachelor of Accounting (BAC) is the youngest academic program offering of the AUC School of Business, launched in 2009 and have graduated over 700 alumni. The program aims to provide conceptual and practical knowledge to graduates who go on to prepare, report and analyze economic and financial information used for making sound managerial decisions. 

Students perusing their bachelor's in accounting are exposed to a comprehensive set of technical knowledge in accounting, auditing, corporate governance and financial transparency. Accounting graduates are qualified to work within different professional capacities at corporate multinationals, auditing firms, banks, consulting firms, and other types of organizations. In addition, recent graduates of the program have attained, or are currently pursuing, professional certifications such as the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), the Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification, in addition to other postgraduate studies.
