Executive Education Receives Five-Year ACCET Reaccreditation
The five-year reaccreditation is the maximum accreditation time awarded by ACCET, and illustrates the School’s commitment to excellence in all of its operations. Such a maximal extension is not often awarded. It was affirmatively motivated by the School’s comprehensive adherence to the accreditation’s requirements and recommendations, one that was evidently manifested and commended during the ACCET site visit.
Since its establishment in 1977, the AUC School of Business Executive Education (ExecEd) has been offering globally recognized training courses that rely on real-life cases to benefit attending executives. These programs enable career development by granting participants crucial critical thinking and business skills that are easily transferred and adapted to their professional environment. ExecEd has close to 170,000 alumni to date. The ACCET reaccreditation is the latest example of the excellent work put in over the years by its team.
Speaking on the re-accreditation’s value, Associate Dean for Executive Education, Kevin O’Connell, affirmed: “The entire ExecEd team and School’s finance office are to be congratulated on this achievement. It was a team effort. Having this accreditation from ACCET attests to the quality of our programs. In addition, receiving a five-year accreditation demonstrates the faith that ACCET places in the AUC School of Business ExecEd to maintain this level of quality going forward. I could not be more pleased.”
ACCET is one of the foremost accrediting bodies for continuing education and training in the world. Since its establishment in 1974, the organization has striven to inform the public of the best educational institutions available through strict evaluation processes aimed at identifying and inspiring stellar practices.
It has received official recognition by the U.S. Department of Education since 1978 as a licensed authority to regulate the quality of education and training for all of its accredited institutions. ACCET is also one of the few accrediting bodies in the United States to receive the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification by Bureau Veritas S.A.
