As the prize for winning the 4th KCC – P&G Commercial Challenge four AUC School of Business Students; Marina Boshra, Sara Ibrahim, Sarah Rizkalla and Yomna Allam; had the opportunity to spend an entire week learning the ropes of what it’s like to work in P&G.

The participants got introduced to P&G History, Purpose Values Principles, P&G Egypt journey, they were welcomed by Egypt Sales Director on the first day, and later were introduced to Sales operations and trade landscape.

The group had the opportunity to witness how sales team plan and manage different product categories and portfolios, after which they accompanied the P&G field force in stores to observe the day-to-day operations and interactions with retailers at both head office and store levels. They were also introduced to how to track and follow through the execution of plans across different categories and store formats from big hypermarkets to small convenience stores.

“The competition taught us a lot of things about case studies and real-life corporate situations. The addition of the real-life case challenge and learning about P&G sales techniques added a lot to the experience and our knowledge” said Sarah Rizkalla, a winning team member.

At the end of the program, the participants presented a full recap of their experience during their week at the company, touching on what they learned, and how this experience could be elevated further to accommodate for more participants in the future.

Mostafa Abdo Ghaly, P&G Egypt Talent Team stated that “The KCC-P&G Commercial Case Study Competition is a great opportunity to prepare AUC students to explore real corporate life early on during their study years. P&G Egypt is fully committed to run this program for years and years to come.”

“P&G Egypt was and will remain an indispensable partner with AUC School of Business promoting early opportunities for students to succeed and become future leaders. Many of P&G current management took part in KCC-P&G case competition one day and now they are leading our top customers, categories, and businesses in Egypt” confirmed Mohamed Othman, National Key Accounts Leader in Egypt.

The case-solving competition is a joint effort between P&G and the AUC School of Business’s El-Khazindar Business Research and Cases Center (KCC) to enrich student’s practical exposure and prepare them to the real-world prior to graduation. Aimed at juniors and seniors from all majors across AUC, the commercial challenge exposes students to a competition handled by P&G executives, with internship opportunities for winners.
