AUCians across disciplines made their voices heard in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at COP28, the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference which is the world’s largest climate conference. Faculty, students and alumni shared their expertise on topics such as green buildings and education, showcased award-winning sustainable startups, and delivered powerful speeches. CEI Runs Global Entrepreneurship Week to Invigorate Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Success

The AUC Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI), in collaboration with the American Center and the US Embassy in Egypt, ran the week-long program Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) from November 13-19, 2023, which aimed to provide support across the global entrepreneurial ecosystem. GEW 2023 supported young entrepreneurs and professionals planning to shift their careers by providing them with workshops, panel discussions, webinars, competitions and group mentoring sessions to help boost their entrepreneurial skills. The program was designed to incorporate a thematic focus for each day, including women and youth empowerment, Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs), investment readiness and sustainability.

AUC School of Business hosts GBSN Beyond and GBSN's 20th anniversary celebration

AUC School of Business hosted the Global Business School Network's (GBSN) annual conference, GBSN Beyond, on a three-day agenda from October 30 - November 1, 2023, which also marked the organization's 20th-anniversary celebration. The annual flagship event gathered leaders from academia, industry, government and civil society worldwide, including high-profile corporate guests - such as Microsoft and Amazon - to share insights, and innovative ideas and collaborate to support business schools' efforts in transforming society and building more inclusive and sustainable communities. The theme this year was ‘The Transformative Power of Talent and Technology’ in order to explore the fundamental prospects and challenges the intersection creates across various subjects and specialties. This provided enlightening discussions surrounding societal impact and improvement, inclusive financial technologies, climate leadership in Africa, entrepreneurship and leveraging technology for higher education and professional development.
