El-Khazindar Business Research and Case Center announces new partnership with Emerald Publishing
El-Khazindar Business Research and Case Center (KCC) signs an agreement with Emerald Publishing to include their teaching cases in Emerald’s Emerging Markets Case Studies collection (EMCS).
The newly signed agreement entails that KCC content will be readily available to subscribers of the EMCS as well as the broader eCase collection, featuring teaching material licensed from global case method advocates, which facilitates tailored discussion based on student experience, expectation, and capability.
On the partnership, Claire Jackson, Senior Publisher for Cases at Emerald notes: “It is important for us that we continue to build on the high standards of the eCase Collection by selecting partners that share our values. This content agreement is the first stage in what I look forward to being a long term and fruitful partnership between Emerald and KCC to promote the publication and promotion of high-quality teaching cases.”
Sharing the same opinion, Nermeen Shehata, KCC director, and assistant professor, Department of Accounting, AUC School of Business expressed: “We are delighted to partner with Emerald to have our teaching cases published in the Emerging Markets Case Studies Collection. This partnership is the first phase of several upcoming agreements that support KCC’s commitment towards the development and usage of quality case studies as an experiential learning tool.”
KCC was founded in 2007 as part of the AUC School of Business. Its mission is to serve as a resource for faculty members from the School and the region and build capacity in the development of quality case studies in areas related to business in the Middle East and North Africa. In addition, the center promotes the use of case studies as learning tools to provide students with opportunities to integrate and apply skills and techniques learned in the classroom to real-world situations and to prepare graduates for successful careers as business leaders in the region.
The partnership with Emerald comes in line with KCC’s determination to become the leading case development center in the MENA region and the principal link between academic research and practical applications, a goal that is echoed by Emerald’s focus on publishing case content that represents all regions.
