Women on Boards Monitoring Report 2018

 

 

In the latest monitoring report, the gap of women on boards in particular sectors was disclosed, with banks leading with 11.4%, followed by listed companies 10.2% and public enterprise companies at 8.3%.

The report provides a snapshot of the representation of women on boards in listed companies, the banking sector and the public enterprise sector in Egypt. The report also includes a simple indicator for women on boards in Egypt and identifies the gap of women on boards in each sector to reach the target of the 2030 strategy.

The Women on Boards Observatory is recognized as a specialized observatory within the framework of the National Council for Women, advocating for 30% women on boards in Egypt by 2030. The flagship activities of the observatory include the annual Egyptian Women on Boards monitoring report and the Egyptian Board Ready Women database.
