ESG Barometer for Corporate Egypt

AUC School of Business has launched an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Barometer initiative to promote sustainable business practices in Egypt. This innovative tool assesses ESG readiness among Egypt's top companies, aligning the corporate landscape with global sustainability standards.

Overview

The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Barometer provides an overview of how well Egyptian companies respond to sustainability needs across various sectors. The barometer evaluates ESG readiness by conducting anonymous surveys, gathering valuable insights into current practices and future developments. It aims to create a robust dataset to understand how companies address environmental, social, and governance priorities. This empowers stakeholders, including business leaders, investors, policymakers, and researchers, by providing insights for strategic decision-making. Additionally, it highlights success stories and identifies areas for improvement to drive meaningful change.

The outcomes of the ESG Barometer will help shape sustainable practices in Egypt, gain insights into the latest ESG trends, enabling the usage of sustainable energy.

The first edition will be published on October 30, 2024, with results released at the AUC Business Forum 2025 in March.
