The Lazord Fellowship Program
The Lazord Fellowship is a program that provides recent graduates with professional and civic skills through year-long job placements, mentoring, and training by local partners.
Fellows will
- Be hosted for one year in a local non-profit or for-profit organization (four days a week)
- Receive a living stipend (based on local living costs)
- Be offered a minimum of 18 training sessions by influential civil society leaders and professional trainers on an array of topics pertaining to civil society, management, leadership, team building, management skills, and much more
- Receive monthly mentoring sessions with professional mentors with civil society experience
- Have networking opportunities with professionals and influential individuals from all sectors – both local and international
- Attend the annual opening and closing of International Conferences* with the regional cohort of fellows from all three countries
- Receive health Insurance
- Receive a monthly housing allowance or accommodation for fellows not based in Cairo
Eligibility
- University graduates from any field
- Having graduated in 2023 or after
- Proven record of being civically engaged
- Proficiency in English
- Ready to commit to a one-year full-time fellowship starting September 2024
- Availability to attend the annual international conference from October 19 to October 25, 2025
- Having a local residency status and authorization to work in the country of the fellowship to which you are applying
- Males applying from Egypt have to either be exempt from military service, already received the certificate of exemption or completed their service
