University Based Civic Engagement Program

By partnering with universities on the AUC campus, as well as Egyptian public and private institutions and broader Arab higher education networks, we aim to empower students with the knowledge, skills and motivation to drive social change. These programs strengthen the center’s role as a hub for civic leadership, collaboration and social responsibility, creating opportunities for students to engage with real-world issues and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

National and Regional Competitions

Our National and Regional Competitions are designed to recognize and amplify the efforts of civil society leaders, offering them a platform to showcase their work to specialists and advocates in the field. These competitions foster the exchange of best practices, provide valuable experience in overcoming challenges and empower youth by encouraging active civic engagement. By highlighting innovative initiatives and inspiring leadership, the competitions play a crucial role in strengthening civil society, enhancing youth potential and driving positive change at both the national and regional levels.

Community-Based Initiatives

The Community-Based Initiatives program empowers participants to identify, plan and implement innovative, sustainable solutions to address local community challenges. This hands-on program provides comprehensive training in project management, leadership, team building, problem-solving and utilizing open-source technology for social innovation. By equipping participants with the skills and knowledge needed to drive change, the program fosters a collaborative approach to community development and empowers individuals to make a lasting impact on their surroundings. Participants will acquire the tools to turn their ideas into actionable solutions that promote social, economic and environmental sustainability.
