Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer an emerging technology in healthcare, it has become the transformation tool reshaping how we diagnose, treat and manage patients. However, for many healthcare professionals, AI remains a black box.
This 27-hour hands-on program, offered by Onsi Sawiris School of Business Executive Education, bridges that gap. AI in Healthcare is designed to equip clinicians, administrators and healthcare professionals with practical skills and strategic insights needed to harness AI safely, ethically and effectively in their work.
Participants will learn how AI enhances personalized care, predictive diagnostics, operational efficiency and real-time clinical decision-making. Covering topics such as prompt engineering, AI readiness assessments, and applied data science tools, this course combines real-world use cases with practical learning. Through collaborative projects, participants will design AI-driven solutions to address real healthcare challenges, preparing them to lead innovation within their
- Demystify AI: Learn the language of AI, large language models (LLMs), predictive analytics, and clinical data science, without needing programming experience.
- Drive Innovation: Discover how to identify high-impact use cases and design AI pilot projects for diagnostics, public health, quality, and patient safety.
- Hands-on Tools: Gain practical experience with real-world platforms like Power BI, ChatGPT, Otter.ai, Vibe Coding, and open-source healthcare datasets.
- Risk-Ready: Build critical awareness of AI risks including bias, explainability, hallucinations, and global regulatory frameworks such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and World Health Organization (WHO).
- Cross-functional Learning: Collaborate with professionals from clinical, IT, quality, and administrative domains to foster interdisciplinary problem-solving.
