UN Women program “Women Economic Empowerment Program – Entrepreneurship support.”
Under the program, the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) aims to support women entrepreneurs to help reduce the gender gap in the Egyptian entrepreneurship ecosystem. This project aims to reduce the gender gap in the Egyptian entrepreneurship ecosystem within the framework of the UN Women Egypt - UNIDO Joint Programme “Women Economic Empowerment for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth,” “Rabeha,” implemented in partnership with the National Council for Women (NCW) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI) Ministry of Trade and Industry and generously supported by Embassy of Canada to Egypt.
CEI is targeting 1,000 female beneficiaries age 21 and above, who often lack specific skills relevant to starting their own businesses throughout two years. The project will pay attention to targeting women from underprivileged and rural areas in seven governorates, Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Behira, Fayoum, Bani Sweif, and Menya.
So far, we have reached a milestone of training more than 100 women entrepreneurs from 4 governorates in Egypt and of interest in more than 14 different industries.

Women Economic Empowerment Entrepreneurship Support (WEE-ES) was a great experience, it create a wide-open door for future opportunities. I was especially delighted to share my alternative water resource project. WEE-ES was really helpful and focused on several useful topics that I need to kick off my project.
