Yes, some courses are identified as possible stand-alone. However, priority is given to diploma/certificate registered participants, and attendance of individual (stand-alone) courses is only subject to availability of seats thereafter.
Participants who finish those courses will not be considered alum to receive an alumni scholarship.
The optimum duration for a diploma-level program is one academic year (9-10 months). It is advisable to attend the courses with the same cohort and benefit from the group dynamics. However, you are allowed to finish the diploma in a maximum of two years.

Business Acumen Courses
These are self-paced online modules with a dynamic list of topics. Our program development team continuously works on developing new topics based on the latest trends in the global market.
Business acumen courses are what give our new programs an edge. In addition to the core courses in each diploma, Executive Education offers participants the chance to get a well-rounded experience and gain the essential skills and knowledge to succeed in their professional lives.
For each diploma, you are required to take three courses. In any certificate, you are required to take only one. You cannot graduate without completing the business acumen courses.
Every business acumen course is 20 hours. You should take it/them as scheduled to stay with your cohort.
Only AUC alumni and staff as well as alumni of Executive Education programs can take business acumen courses as standalone courses. Otherwise, you have to be enrolled in a diploma/certificate to enroll in the course.
Yes, but it is not recommended. We advise that you take one business acumen course as scheduled to stay with your cohort. In addition, you will not graduate from the diploma unless you complete those courses.

Healthcare Programs
These are structured and planned visits to JCI accredited hospitals. You will have one hospital visit following each academic month for 8 months.
During the visit, you will observe the best practice in topics that are covered in the diploma. The AUC has contracted with hospitals and agreed on a structured program for each visit; from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm including breaks. Dates of the visits will be announced during the courses.
Some core courses are common in both diplomas because they form the foundations of managing healthcare organizations.
The Hospital Management and Operational Excellence diploma concentrates on the role of marketing, finance and supply chain management in the journey to reach operational excellence in running your healthcare organization.
The Healthcare Quality Excellence diploma focuses on the accreditation journey, how to practically implement the quality standards required and the role of continuous improvement methodologies in maintaining the quality level of the offered services.
No, being a doctor is not a requirement to be admitted to the programs. However, you need 1 year of experience in the healthcare sector to join the Quality Diploma and 3 years of experience in the healthcare sector to join the Hospital Management Diploma.
No, this is a totally new program with a new course syllabus and methodology.
If you are working in the quality area or in the accreditation process, or you want to upscale the quality standards of your organization, then the Healthcare Quality Excellence diploma is for you.
